ANNUAL FUND DRIVE STARTS NOVEMBER 1, 2014

posted Oct 24, 2014, 12:40 PM by Education FOUNDATION   [ updated Oct 28, 2014, 10:14 PM ]

As in recent years, we are utilizing GiveMN’s “Give to the Max Day” (held on November 13, 2014) to enhance our pledge drive experience. GiveMN produces innovation, energy, and fresh ideas to Minnesota generosity. “Give to the Max Day” has been an annual event in Minnesota since 2009 and, every year, thousands of organizations and individuals generate monetary gifts and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all of the state’s residents.
The Cannon Falls Education Foundation utilizes this opportunity to gain momentum for our own annual pledge drive. Although our annual pledge drive is ready and willing to accept your generous donations at any time, we will boost our drive through “Give to the Max Day” and its online website, GiveMN.org.
Donors can give to their organization of choice, enabling effortless charitable giving anytime and anywhere. On November 13, every gift made on GiveMN.org will be entered into an hourly drawing for a $1,000 “GiveMN Golden Ticket” to be awarded to a Minnesota school. That adds up to 24 opportunities for you to help us receive an extra $1,000! And the really exciting part? At the end of “Give to the Max Day”, one donation made on GiveMN.org will be randomly selected to receive a $10,000 “Super-Sized GiveMN Golden Ticket”!!!

The Education Foundation appreciates ANY donation. No gift is too small and each one is truly needed.
If you would like to support our annual pledge drive, please do so in the way that best suits you:
  1. Donate online by visiting GiveMN.org and searching “Cannon Falls Education Foundation” any day OR on November 13 to increase our chances of winning a golden ticket prize. Starting November 1st, you can pre-set your donation for November 13th.
  2. Drop your cash or check off on November 13 to Cannon Valley Specialties (Cannon Valley Video) or Freeberg Insurance.Any cash or check donation made this day will be manually entered on the GiveMN website by a member of our board.
  3. Mail a check anytime to “Cannon Falls Education Foundation” 820 E. Minnesota St.Cannon Falls, MN 55009.
Thank you for your continued support of the Cannon Falls Education Foundation.

Give to the Max Day Results

posted Nov 25, 2013, 11:29 AM by Deb Kadrlik

The Cannon Falls Education Foundation organized a fundraising drive around the November 14 “Give to the Max Day” and met with great success.
As of November 18th, donation totals were $7,148 through the GiveMN.org on-line site and another $9,281 collected through traditional mail or personal drop-off.
“Donations are still being received, so we anticipate the numbers togo up,” said CFEF board member Kelly Miller.
People can still make donations on-line at GiveMN.org or they can mailthem to: Cannon Falls Education Foundation, 820 E. Minnesota St.,Cannon Falls, MN, 55009.
The good numbers came despite some technical difficulties at theGiveMN.org website on the “Give to the Max” day.
“The site crashed and didn’t come back up until about6 p.m, and itwas stressful,” said Miller. “We weren’t sure what the day would bring because of that, however, we exceeded our goal of $15,000 despite the setback.”
The volunteer group hopes to fund a total of $62,000 in teacher-requested projects that are not included in the normal school budget this year.
